4 Arrested for Skimming and Grand Theft-

On November 6, 2025, Kern County Sheriff's Office deputies from the North Area Substation (Buttonwillow) received several reports of fraudulent credit card use, totaling thousands of dollars, from a truck stop in the 27000-block of Lagoon Drive. Through investigation, deputies identified four suspects involved using three trucks in the theft of diesel fuel. The suspects used several vessels, including fuel tanks and five-gallon water bottles loaded in the bed of two pickup trucks.

Deputies located two of the vehicles at a nearby hotel and arrested 42-year-old YASEL YEDRA RODRIGUEZ of Houston, Texas, and 42-year-old YOAGNER TORRES RODRIGUEZ of Las Vegas, Nevada, for fraud, grand theft and conspiracy charges. Upon the execution of a search warrant, deputies located computers and electronic equipment commonly used in credit card skimming.

On November 7, 2025, deputies located the third vehicle involved and arrested 37-year-old ROLANDO MARTIN SANTOS and 34-year-old ANEYSI AFONSO AMUEDO, both of Houston, Texas. Both suspects were arrested for the diesel theft and found in possession of electronic equipment used for card skimming.

All four suspects were booked into the Lerdo Jail for fraudulent credit card use, alteration of credit card account information, grand theft of property and conspiracy to commit a crime. Anyone with further information in this case is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110, or the Secret Witness Hotline at 661-322-4040 (case number 2025-00140816).
