Traffic collision at 25th Street West and Lancaster Boulevard around 3:15 this afternoon
Read moreA fatal industrial accident was reported Wednesday morning in Lancaster.
At approximately 10:24 a.m., units from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to 260 East Avenue K-8 at the Los Angeles County Waterworks District facility after a crane fell on a worker during operations at the site.
Upon arrival, first responders located the victim and determined that he had sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is on scene to contain the area.
No additional injuries have been reported at this time. The identity of the victim has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation remains ongoing.
