ARMED ROBBERY – LANCASTER
Deputies responded to an armed robbery just before midnight at Wingstop, located at 44433 Valley Central Way in Lancaster.
The suspect was described as a Black male in his 20s wearing a Nike hoodie and a mask. The suspect reportedly robbed the business at gunpoint and took cash from the register before fleeing.
The caller initially reported the suspect fled on foot. However, an arriving deputy observed a silver BMW with no license plates leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
A deputy later located the vehicle near 27th Street West and Avenue K-4. The suspect reportedly ran from the vehicle and jumped a wall into a backyard.
Sheriff’s air support and K-9 units responded to assist deputies with the search.
As of 2:15 a.m., a containment has been set up in the area and the search for the suspect continues.
