Denied. Carpool lane enforcement on Interstate 10 in the West Covina area sparked significant interest. While on patrol, one of our motor officers observed a vehicle traveling in the carpool lane during peak hours. At first glance, it appeared the driver had a passenger. Upon closer inspection, that “passenger” turned out to be a jacket carefully wrapped around the front seat with the seatbelt fastened across it to resemble a person. Please remember that carpool lanes help reduce traffic, lower emissions, and get more people to work faster. Share a ride, save time, and help keep roads safer.
