CHILD STRUCK BY VEHICLE IN QUARTZ HILL – AIR RESCUE REQUESTED
QUARTZ HILL, CA – Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a child riding a scooter at 50th Street West and West Avenue M-4 at approximately 3:00 p.m. Wednesday.
According to dispatch audio, firefighters requested a rescue helicopter for a pediatric trauma patient. Engine 84 and Squad 84 were assigned to assist with the incident and establish a landing zone at Fire Station 129.
Copter 20 was requested from Camp 9 to assist with the medical response.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is handling the collision investigation.
The child's condition and additional details surrounding the collision have not yet been confirmed.
