Commercial Burglary Investigation Leads to Arrest in Apple Valley After Suspect Leaves Paperwork Behind With Her Name On It

INCIDENT: Burglary Arrest
LOCATION: 21000 Block of State Highway 18, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Tamaiya Moore, 34-year-old female, Transient
SUMMARY: On July 19, 2026, at approximately 9:18 p.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Station responded to a business located in the 21000 block of State Highway 18 regarding a burglary.
During the investigation, deputies determined a female suspect entered the business and stole merchandise, cash, and a tablet before fleeing the scene. The suspect inadvertently left behind paperwork containing her name. Investigators also reviewed surveillance footage, which confirmed the suspect's identity as Tamaiya Moore.
Deputies tracked the stolen tablet to a residence in the 19000 block of Corwin Road. Deputies responded to the location and contacted Moore. During the investigation, deputies recovered the stolen tablet, merchandise, and cash.
Moore was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for PC 459c- Commercial Burglary and is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
