COMMUNITY ALERT: SoCalGas Rolls Out Updated Employee Uniforms

SoCalGas is reminding customers that employees are now wearing updated uniforms featuring a recognizable SoCalGas company logo.

Residents may see SoCalGas crews performing maintenance, inspections, repairs or other service work, and some visits may occur without advance notice.

To help verify a legitimate SoCalGas employee, look for: •An updated uniform with the SoCalGas logo •An official photo identification badge •A branded company vehicle in most cases

Authorized contractors may not wear SoCalGas uniforms or drive company vehicles, but they are required to carry identification verifying their affiliation with the company.

If someone claims to be with SoCalGas and you're unsure, ask to see their identification badge before allowing access to your property. You can also call SoCalGas at 1-800-427-2200 to verify their identity.

Please share, especially with elderly or vulnerable family members who may not recognize the new uniforms.
