Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s (LASD) Major Crimes Bureau (MCB) were investigating a robbery crew involved in over (15) armed robberies throughout Los Angeles County. The crew comprised of gang members targeted numerous “T-Mobile” stores. MCB detectives believed the crew conducted a robbery of a T-Mobile store in the city of Cudahy. Detectives apprehended the suspects as they fled the store. They were able to recover approximately $13,000 worth of cell phones, tablets, smart watches and cash stolen from the location.
The getaway vehicle was searched and additional cell phones believed to be stolen from other robberies were found. In addition, ski masks, gloves and a handgun believed to be used during the robberies were also recovered.
The adult suspects Kalen Riley and Jalen Williams were transported and booked for Robbery, 211 PC. The case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s (LADA). Both suspects are each being held on $3,200,000 bail. Their next court date is scheduled for October 1, 2026, at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center (CSFC) in Los Angeles.
The juvenile suspect was transported to Los County Juvenile Hall and booked for robbery. His next court date is pending.
The LASD MCB has specialized investigators who combat organized crews and gang members involved with residential burglaries and robbery series. MCB detectives work closely in support of all LASD investigative operations, as well as all local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
