Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department – Special Victims Bureau...

Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department – Special Victims Bureau are investigating the allegations of a sexual assault by 30-year-old Alberto Rojas. Mr. Rojas was arrested by Compton Sheriff’s Station deputies on Sunday, February 15, 2026, for the assault of a minor which occurred in the city of Compton.

The case was presented to the District Attorney’s Office at Compton Courthouse and Mr. Rojas was formally charged with three felony counts of Lewd Acts Upon a Child, violation of 288(C)(1) PC.

Mr. Rojas worked as a youth soccer coach in the area and has had contact with numerous juveniles in the course of that employment. Based on the nature of the offenses, detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims. Anyone with information regarding this case or who believes they may have been a victim is urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau, Sergeant Jamie Yamasaki at (562) 946-7989. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department - Special Victims Bureau is tasked with investigating the sexual and physical abuse of children and felonious sexual assaults involving adult victims.
