After 140 years, the historic Saugus Cafe will officially close its doors on January 4th. First opened in 1886, the Saugus Cafe is widely recognized as one of California’s oldest continuously operating restaurants, serving generations of locals, travelers, and railroad workers.
Its closure marks the end of a major chapter in Santa Clarita and Antelope Valley history. For many, it wasn’t just a restaurant — it was tradition.
