FAIRMONT — LACoFD is responding to a vegetation fire near 18655 W Avenue E in Fairmont.

According to helicopter overhead, the fire is estimated at approximately 3 acres burning in grass with a moderate rate of spread. At this time, no structures are threatened.

Fire officials advise there is potential for growth to around 10 acres if conditions allow.

Multiple ground and air resources remain assigned.

No evacuations or road closures have been reported at this time. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.

UPDATE: The fire is holding at 5 acres with a potential for 10-15 acres, and crews are making good progress - per Incident Command.
