FAIRMONT — Macy Fire
LACoFD is responding to the Macy Fire, a 2nd alarm vegetation fire in the area of 110th Street West and 122nd Street West near Highway 138 in Fairmont.
According to the first arriving unit, the fire is currently approximately 100 acres, running, with structures threatened.
Multiple ground and air resources have been assigned from across Los Angeles County, including engine companies, camp crews, water tenders, command staff, and helicopter support.
Residents in the area should remain alert and be prepared for changing conditions as crews work to establish containment.
Avoid the area and use caution for responding emergency traffic.
UPDATE: The fire is now 660 acres running in light to medium fuels with winds out of the Southwest at about 15 miles an hour, per Incident Command
UPDATE 2: Shelter-In-Place have been formally issued for Zones LAC-E1642 & LAC-E1639.
A Shelter-In-Place has been requested for Zone KRN-153A in Kern County and a 3rd Alarm response has been requested, per Incident Command.
UPDATE 3: The fire is now approximately 1100 acres and there is a threat to Kern County but is approximately 30-40 minutes out, per Incident Command.
UPDATE 4: The fire is approximately 1400 acres with about 10 acres in Kern County, per Incident Command
