CHP Antelope Valley Investigates Fatal Traffic Crash

On October 15, 2025, at approximately 3:35 p.m., California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers from the Antelope Valley Area responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash on 150th Street East, at Palmdale Boulevard.

Preliminary investigation indicates a 2004 Honda Civic, driven by J. Hutton, 40, of Palmdale, was traveling southbound on 150th Street East, approaching Palmdale Boulevard, when he made a left turn directly into the path of a westbound 2010 Toyota Tacoma, driven by C. Agabo-Calderon, 35, of Lancaster. The front of the Toyota collided with the left side of the Honda. As a result of the crash, Mr. Hutton sustained fatal injuries. Mr. Agabo-Calderon was transported to Palmdale Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Roads in the area were closed for approximately two hours while officers conducted on-scene investigation. Both drivers were determined to be wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected to be a factor in this crash.

Next of kin has been notified. For additional information regarding the deceased, please contact the Los Angeles County Coroner鈥檚 Office at (323) 343-0512.

This traffic crash remains under investigation by Officer E. Alonzo of the California Highway Patrol,
