This is a popular photo from the Antelope Valley from 1957 when the newly built Sears had its grand opening on the southeast corner of Ave K and 10th street west where Lowes is today.
For years it was a favorite of shoppers and was a popular place for employment for many high school and college students! It was what could have been considered the crossroads of shoppers here in the Antelope Valley.
For some of you that like a challenge see if you can find the one VW bug in this photo !
