From Lancaster Police Department
Illegal fireworks are more than just a nuisance, they're a serious threat to our community. The Lancaster Police Department is taking a zero-tolerance approach to illegal fireworks this Fourth of July season. Illegal fireworks can cause devastating fires, serious injuries, and unnecessary danger to our neighborhoods and first responders.
During today's enforcement, Lancaster Police Department officers seized more than 250 pounds of illegal fireworks and made multiple arrests. Our enforcement efforts will continue throughout the holiday season. If you choose to possess or use illegal fireworks, you may face citations, arrest, and the seizure of your fireworks.
Celebrate responsibly and help us keep Lancaster safe. If you witness illegal fireworks activity, report it so we can respond appropriately. Tip line 661-723-6132
Together, we can make this a safe Independence Day for everyone. #LancasterPD #LancasterCA #IllegalFireworks #FourthOfJuly #CommunitySafety #ZeroTolerance
