Lancaster Station’s LAN-CAP team conducted a pedestrian stop after observing multiple suspected hand-to-hand narcotics transactions near 10th Street West and Avenue I.
During their investigation, deputies contacted a 39-year-old Lancaster resident who was found to be in possession of a loaded, unregistered handgun equipped with a high-capacity magazine.
Deputies also recovered suspected PCP, oxycodone, marijuana, ecstasy, crack cocaine, and paraphernalia commonly associated with narcotics sales, including a digital scale and numerous new, unused plastic baggies. 💊💥
The suspect was transported and booked at Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, where he remains in custody.
The suspect was arrested on multiple felony charges, including: • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon • Carrying a loaded firearm in public • Carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle • Possession of ammunition by a convicted felon • Possession of a high-capacity magazine • Possession of controlled substances for sale • Possession of controlled substances while armed with a loaded firearm
