On 11-18-2025, CHP Newhall received a call that a driver of a Silver Toyota Camry brandishing a firearm at another motorist. The caller obtained a license plate and vehicle discription as they followed the suspect vehicle on I-5 N/B near the 405. The suspect was followed to I-5 NB south of Calgrove Blvd when the caller lost visual of the suspect vehicle. Officers responding to the area observed the suspect vehicle on the I-5 NB Magic Mountain Pkwy off ramp. As the suspect vehicle traveled N/B on The Old Rd from Magic Mountain Pkwy an enforcememnt stop was conducted. The suspect yielded on Avenue Stanford south of Rye Canyon Rd. Officers conducting the investigation located a concealed firearm within the suspect vehicle. A 49-year-old, male from Arleta was arrested for brandishing a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm within a vehicle, and possession of a unserialized/ unregistered firearm.
