On January 25th, 2026 (Sunday), at approximately 7:10 PM, personnel from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to a motor vehicle collision on Rancho Vista Boulevard near the intersection of Dunbar Street, which is within the incorporated area of the City of Palmdale.

The preliminary facts of this investigation indicate at approximately 7:10 PM, a male black adult was driving a 2019 Audi RS3 east on Rancho Vista Boulevard at an unknown high rate of speed. The driver of the Audi RS3 rear ended a 2004 Scion XB, who was driving east on Rancho Vista Boulevard in the number one lane at an unknown rate of speed.

As a result, both drivers lost control and eventually came to a rest. The driver of the Audi RS3 succumbed to their injuries and the driver of the Scion XB was transported for major injuries.

Palmdale Station Traffic Investigator Detective Christopher Ogden responded to the scene. Anyone with information regarding the traffic collision is encouraged to call Palmdale Station’s Traffic Department at 661-272-2400.
