On July 18th, 2026 (Saturday), at approximately 00:43 AM, personnel from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision at the intersection of Palmdale Boulevard and Sierra Highway, which is within the incorporated area of the City of Palmdale.

The preliminary facts of this investigation indicate at approximately 00:43 AM, a female Hispanic adult was walking northbound across the crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle driving west on Palmdale Boulevard through the intersection on a green traffic light. The pedestrian was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the 2026 Toyota Corolla did not sustain any injuries.
