Operation Sex Trafficking Diversion from Lancaster Police Department
Earlier this month, the Lancaster Police Department conducted Operation Sex Trafficking Diversion, an enforcement and education initiative aimed at reducing demand tied to human trafficking and holding offenders accountable.
As part of the operation, warning notifications were mailed to the registered owners of vehicles observed engaging in or soliciting prostitution-related activity. These notices are intended to highlight the legal consequences of this conduct and its direct connection to the exploitation of vulnerable members of our community.
Human trafficking is not a victimless crime. It causes real harm to individuals and affects the safety and well-being of the community. Reducing demand is a critical step in protecting victims and preventing further exploitation.
The Lancaster Police Department remains committed to enforcing the law, supporting survivors, and partnering with the community to keep Lancaster safe
