PURSUIT ENDS — DRIVER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
A CHP pursuit came to an end on Avenue H-8 and Cedar after a driver refused to exit their vehicle following a short chase.
The pursuit began near 10th Street West and Jackman after the driver was spotted operating a black Nissan Rogue with no headlights. Speeds reached approximately 65–70 mph before the suspect pulled into a residence on Avenue H-8.
The suspect refused to exit the vehicle until the driver’s father arrived on scene and used a spare key to unlock the car.
The suspect was then taken into custody after a brief struggle.
