SEMI-TRUCK FIRE – NORTHBOUND I-5
A semi-truck caught fire on northbound Interstate 5 near Roxford Street tonight.
The fire was reported around 7:55 p.m. Initial reports indicated the semi’s cab was fully engulfed. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle.
Firefighters responded and had the fire knocked down shortly after 8 p.m. The slow lane was initially shut down, and at approximately 8:21 p.m., a 30-minute SigAlert was issued for all northbound lanes while crews handled the incident.
No injuries were immediately reported.
