The Palmdale PAC Team conducted two surveillance and saturation operations on August 18th and 20th. The operation focused on neighborhoods within the city that have experienced recent crimes including vandalism.

During the operation on August 20th, PAC deputies tracked and stopped a stolen Chevrolet Pickup Truck on the 38500 block of 5th Street East. The two occupants of the truck were arrested, and a search of the truck resulted in the seizure of narcotics, cash and a “AR-15” style rifle equipped with a loaded 60 round “Drum Magazine”. Evidence of gang affiliation was also recovered.

Overall, the operation resulted in approximately 30 arrests for various charges including additional firearm seizures. One suspect was also detained when acting suspiciously on the property of Palmdale City Hall. This suspect was detained and arrested on an outstanding burglary warrant.
