TRAIL FIRE — WEST OF LANCASTER

W Avenue J & 90th Street West

Firefighters responded to a vegetation fire burning west of Lancaster Friday afternoon.

The Trail Fire was initially reported at approximately 2 acres, burning to the northeast in light grass, according to the first-arriving unit.

The fire grew to approximately 5 acres, but crews quickly began making good progress. Engines, one helicopter, one dozer and two hand crews were directed to continue responding, while all other incoming resources were canceled.
