UPDATE: Arrests Made in the Death of 14-year-old Victorville Youth

INCIDENT: PC 187 - Murder

LOCATION: Glen Canyon Lane and Burwood Avenue, Victorville

SUSPECT(S): Abel Ramirez, 27-years-old, Resident of Victorville 16-year-old, Male Juvenile, Resident of Victorville

VICTIM: Jeremy Rosales, 14-year-old, Male Juvenile, Resident of Victorville

On Monday, February 2, 2026, after an extensive investigation, Abel Ramirez and a 16-year-old male juvenile were arrested for the murder of Jeremy Rosales.

The male juvenile was arrested on the charge of PC187(A) – murder and was transported to the High Desert Juvenile Detention Center. Ramirez was arrested on the charge of PC187(A)- murder, and transported to the High Desert Detention Center where he remains in custody in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bail.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Friday, January 16, 2026, at about 8:21 p.m., Sheriff’s Dispatch received numerous calls for service after multiple shots were heard near Glen Canyon Lane and Burwood Avenue, in Victorville. Deputies arrived and located Jeremy Rosales, a 14-year-old male, in the street suffering from gunshot wounds. Rosales was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation.

This investigation is ongoing at this time. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
