Wet Commute Ahead for Antelope Valley Residents

The National Weather Service has extended a severe thunderstorm watch for the Antelope Valley until 9:00am today. Rain, heavy at times, is moving through the Antelope Valley this morning and is forecasted to taper off by early afternoon. Localized street flooding is possible throughout the Antelope Valley. Pay particular attention to areas more prone to flooding. This is an unusually cold storm for October with snow level as low as 6,000 feet.

Plan extra time if commuting or traveling this morning. Highway 14 traffic for the morning commute is heavier than usual.

Be wise, be safe today! California drivers don’t have the greatest reputation driving in inclement weather.
