Today I saw a young girl doing her best to deal with a difficult order at a local drive through and the abuse she was taking was totally uncalled for. I did my best when I got to the window to lift her spirits and thanked her for her dedication to her job and the gift of her smile.
Many times, we just expect people to do their jobs and be robots and take our abuse when things go wrong but on the other hand do we go out of our way to be kind and friendly when things go right?
Sometimes those smiles in a drive through can make your day and for many working those windows it helps them get through their day.
It’s a brutal and cruel world we live in but that doesn’t mean we need to be a part of that, and we need to do our best to make more smiles be the normal.
